3-D Art Displays :)

These displays will be set out for our Annual Family Night of the Arts, next Thursday. Not to shabby for some boxes set out for garbage, black paper and clothes pins ;)

Art Class Time Line

For our Night of the Arts I have put together an art class timeline for parents, students and myself to reflect on all that we have done this year. We photographed a piece of each work from each grade level and them ordered them and discussed what each project was and what we learned from it. It was a great assessment tool and it is awesome to look at all we have accomplished!

2013 Annual Family Night of the Arts

Each student will have their art portfolios on display and will be available to take home.

There will also musical performances, basket raffles, artist scavenger hunts, art stations and picture framing!

Youth Arts Celebration

 The All County Youth Arts Celebration was a huge success!  The MAC downtown was packed and the best part: it was packed with Ridgedale families!!

It was so wonderful to see our artists checking out their works hung in a fancy pants art gallery. The Dominion Post was there to interview the Frye family :)

Cant wait for next years show!

The art room is busting as the seems, literally!

We have approximately 400 students here at the dale, I keep all
Art project throughout the year so that we can make awesome art portfolio displays, however the process to get that done is one of organized chaos :) !!
The students and I are digging through the mass amounts of art we have done and I am storing them until our annual Night of the Arts on our fabulous drying rack. I have tied it together to make it all fit, it is quite a comical scene!!

It is awesome to see the students creative progress from their first project to current date!! Soon enough this massive stack of hog tied art projects will be beautiful displays at the NOA!
